Manage the webframe regions

page user interface tab - webframes

In Integra, the page data is presented through a number of rectangular elements called "webframes". Each of these webframes needs to be inserted in a page or master page region, in order to be displayed on the webpage. If the webframe is in a master page region, it will be displayed in all webpages that use this master page as a template. If the region is managed on page level though, the webframes in it will be presented only on the specific page. You can enable the page management of each of the regions defined by the layout by clicking on the corresponding "Enable page level management" link

In page management enabled regions, to manage the already inserted webframes or add new ones, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the WordFrame Integra Core Administration
  2. Click on the "Builder" tab in the upper left corner
  3. Click on the "Web Page components" menu in the main navigation bar
  4. Click on the "Browse pages" link in the "Pages" section on the left of the screen
  5. Find the page you need to review
  6. The page should not be checked out by another user. Click on the corresponding "manage" link.
  7. Click on the "User interface" tab
  8. Click on “manage page webframes” link
  9. On the next screen, each page region managed by the current ui pack, is presented in a separate grid. The regions that are used by the current layout are in green.
  10. Manage the webframes in each region by removing or adding them
  11. Press the “Save & check in” or the “Save” button, if you need to continue managing the page.

Manage the webframes in regions not currently used by the selected layout

Page regions are identified by their name. They can be reused from one layout to another, if the names match (no matter if these layouts are part of one or two different UI packs). All the information about the nested webframes and their position in previously used page regions is stored until purged. To reuse previously used webframe or to purge the region information of not currently used region name, follow these steps:

  8. On the last section “Not used regions” review all the pages regions that are associated with this master page, have nested webframes, but are not used by the current layout.
  9. Click on the use a webframe again link
  10. On the next screen, you can review the list of all previously used webframes and reuse them, by choosing one of the current regions from the dropdown
  11. Press the “Save and check in” or the “Save” button, if you need to continue managing the page
