public Index management - Access tab
The search results access in Integra is controlled in two ways:
- Index wide access permission - managed from the current screen. It is applied before the URL based authorization and manages globally who can view:
- the index in the search webframe dropdown or
- any results in the index at all
- Specific authorization for each URL / path - based on crawler rules or sitemap.xml. It will filter the results generated by the search appliance and will present only documents which the user is authorized to view, based on the user roles.
To manage the global index access policy you need to:
- Log in to the WordFrame Integra Core Administration
- Click on the "Builder" tab in the upper left corner
- Click on the "Content components" menu in the main navigation bar
- Click on the “Indexes” link in “Search appliance” section on the left of the screen
- Find the index you want to review and click on its “manage” button
- Click on the “Access” tab
- Click on the “manage access” link in the upper right corner of the grid
- Change the access type and click on the “Save” button
