search index info

In order to be searched fast, the content of the crawled pages or documents need to be stored in a special indexed format. Each index (searchable content repository) is subscribed to its own set of crawlers. The users will search in this indexes through the search webframe.
Note: Two level cache could be applied for the search results - 5 min from the engine and a customizable period from the webframe's cache attributes

Some of the basic characteristics of the index are presented by its Information tab. To review them, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the WordFrame Integra Core Administration
  2. Click on the "Builder" tab in the upper left corner
  3. Click on the "Content components" menu in the main navigation bar
  4. Click on the “Indexes” link in “Search appliance” section on the left of the screen
  5. Find the index you want to review and click on its “manage” button
  6. The information tab will appear. It presents the following information about the index:
    • index name – unique identifier for this search index
    • description – it helps other administrators in describing the purpose of this index
    • created – when and who created this search index
    • last modified – when and who modified this search index last
    • access – choose/shown how the access to this search index should be granted
    • index size – the current state of the search index as document number and size
    • index updated on – when was the index last updated by a crawler
    • crawlers – how many crawlers are currently serving content to this index
    • status – status of the current index
