public Master page webframes management
Manage the webframes in regions currently used by the selected layout
To present content in the master page designated regions, you need webframes nested in these regions. To manage the already nested webframes or add new ones, follow these steps:
- Log in to the WordFrame Integra Core Administration
- Click on the "Builder" tab in the upper left corner
- Click on the "Web page components" menu in the main navigation bar
- Click on the "Browse master pages" link in the "Master pages" section on the left of the screen
- Find the master page you need to review
- The master page should not be checked out by another user. Click on the corresponding manage link.
- Click on the User interface tab
- On the third section "WebFrames" review the webframes that are currently nested in master page regions
- Click on the Manage the Master Page's webframes link
- On the next screen, each master page region managed by this ui pack, is presented in a separate grid. The regions that are used by the current layout are in green.
- Manage the webframes in each region by removing or adding them
- Press the "Save and checking" or the "save", if you need to continue managing the page.
Manage the webframes in regions not currently used by the selected layout
Master page regions are identified by their name. They can be reused from one layout to another, if the names match (no matter if these layouts are part of one or two different UI packs). All the information about the nested webframes and their position in previously used master page regions is stored until purged. To reuse previously used webframe or to purge the region information of not currently used region name, follow these steps:
- Log in to the WordFrame Integra Core Administration
- Click on the "Builder" tab in the upper left corner
- Click on the "Web page components" menu in the main navigation bar
- Click on the "Browse master pages" link in the "Master pages" section on the left of the screen
- Find the master page you need to review
- The master page should not be checked out by another user. Click on the corresponding manage link.
- Click on the User interface tab
- On the forth section "Not used regions" review all the master page regions that are associated with this master page, have nested webframes, but are not used by the current layout
- Click on the Use a webframe again link
- On the next screen, you can review the list of all previously used webframes and reuse them, by choosing one of the current regions from the drop down
- Press the "Save and checking" or the "save", if you need to continue managing the page.
